The Do-Not-Disturb service (DND) allows Telecom customers to opt out of receiving promotional or notification messages from 3rd Party like Bulk SMS, VAS promos, etc.

By default, ALL MTN users are on DND unless they opt out.

The networks charge extra to deliver SMS to numbers with active DND service. Sometimes the message Sender ID may be changed to rUPDATE, rNOTIFY, INFINITI etc or even a Phone Number.  Read More... 

OPTION A: Your SMS will be sent via regular SMS route. DND numbers will be routed to the Hosted SIM (). Costs 1 unit/SMS for regular number OR 1.9 units/SMS for DND numbers.

OPTION B: Corporate Route delivers better than regular route (with Sender ID change). DND numbers will be routed to the Hosted SIM (). Costs 1.9 units/SMS.

OPTION C: All your SMS will be sent via the Hosted SIM - (irrespective of DND status). Costs 1.9 units/SMS.

OPTION D: All your SMS will be sent via Banking Route. This guarantees Sender ID deliver to even DND numbers just like your Bank Alert. Costs 25 units/SMS.

By default, all our DND sms is sent via our own Hosted SIM (We have several). However, you can setup YOUR own SIM card as a DND sms sender.

This means that a number can be tied to your organization or brand so your clients or your sms recipients can associate the number with you. This way, they get all their sms from YOUR specific sim instead of from our random SIMs.
